Welcome to Buzzworthy's "The Week In Pop," where we round up new album releases, talk show musical guests, and TV performances by your favorite pop stars and more (so you don't have to).
This week, All Time Low release their fifth studio album, while MGK drops his full-length debut (he also witnessed one of the BET Hip Hop Awards scuffles as he told "RapFix Live"). Speaking of which, the BET Hip-Hop Awards air Tuesday. Rick Ross is one of 17 performers scheduled for the awards show, and he's also dropping a new mixtape today. Meanwhile Ellie Goulding releases her sophomore album (watch her on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" Wednesday), and Destiny's Child are scheduled to drop their greatest hits. Also, The Script ready their third effort (catch them Wednesday on "Live With Kelly And Michael" and Friday on "Tonight Show With Jay Leno") and The Wallflowers return after a five-year hiatus. Watch frontman Jakob Dylan tell VH1's "Big Morning Buzz Live" about their return; The Wallflowers perform on "Tonight Show With Jay Leno" this evening. The week caps off with Passion Pit as the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live."
NEW ALBUM RELEASES
+ All Time Low, Don't Panic: As the November cover guys for Alternative Press (who shot not only one, but three covers), ATL are going hard for their fans. Last night they played Tokyo, tonight they play London, and tomorrow they play New York on their "Don't Panic" world takeover (they embark on a full U.S. tour come Friday). Check out the punchy "The Reckless and The Brave," the ballad-to-punk-pop romantic anthem "For Baltimore," "Somewhere in Neverland," and "Outlines," which was cowritten by Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump and features Acceptance's Jason Vena.
+ MGK, Lace Up: MGK told "RapFix Live" that his Bad Boy Records label boss, Sean "Diddy" Combs, initially wasn't too enthusiastic about his debut album. "His initial reaction was like, 'Damn, why are you so angry?' " MGK gleaned, but when they recently met for dinner, he said, "He looked at me like, 'Yo, man, I really love the album.'" The record features a bunch of collabos including "Wild Boy" with Waka Flocka Flame, "D3mons" with DMX, and "What I Do" with Bun B. Other guests include Lil Jon, Cassie, Young Jeezy, Tech N9ne, Twista, and others.
+ Ellie Goulding, Halcyon: This is the British electro-pop singer's (and incidentally Skrillex's girlfriend) follow-up to her popular Lights debut. Check out the stirring ballad "I Know You Care," which is featured in the forthcoming film and soundtrack, Now Is Good. Also watch the gorgeous "Anything Can Happen" video. In the video's behind-the-scenes shoot with MTV News, she says "I'm hoping it will make people go out and propose to their girlfriends or go on that holiday they never ended up doing. I hope it will provoke positivity, as opposed to make people really sad."

+ Rick Ross, The Black Bar Mitzvah: We don't have many details on Rozay's newest mixtape, but he did write via his Tumblr, "New @rickyrozay mixtape #BlackBarMitzvah drops Monday October 8th @ 2pm exclusively on datpiff.com" and included the mixtape's over-the-top cover art. However, we do know the tape will feature frequent collaborator Drake.
+ Destiny's Child, Playlist: The Greatest Hits collection of the famed girl group (comprising Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams) drops on the 15th anniversary of the ladies' first No. 1 hit, "No No No Part 2." The 14-song set includes that tune along with "Say My Name," "Independent Women, Part 1," "Bootylicious," and "Bills, Bills, Bills." It also features their "Soldier" collabo with Lil Wayne and T.I. Excuse me while I dance around my living room to all of the DC goodness.
+ The Wallflowers, Glad All Over: Their name has always seemed a misnomer to us. I mean, just look at Jakob Dylan: There's nothing "wallflower" about that level of hotness (unless he's being ironic). On hiatus since 2007 (Dylan released two solo albums during the break), the group now reunites for their first studio album in seven years. Check out the churning "Hospital for Sinners," The Clash's Mick Jones-collabos "Reboot the Mission," and "Misfits and Lovers, "It's a Dream," and "Constellation Blues."
+ The Script, #3: The Irish trio (which features singer/sometimes-rapper Danny O'Donogue, who also served as a "Voice" judge in the U.K.) release their aptly named third album. You can watch The Script give MTV News track-by-track insight to their new album. The 10-song U.S. version comes out a month after its U.K. release. Also check out "Hall of Fame," which features will.i.am.
